Haryana MBBS admission 2026: current official position
Haryana state MBBS/BDS counselling is administered through the Department of Medical Education and Research and Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR). Candidates must qualify NEET UG and register on the session-specific Haryana portal when the state publishes its 2026 notice.
As of 19 July 2026, the official UG portal available to this review is still headed “MBBS/BDS Courses 2025-26” and its notification archive belongs to the previous cycle. UHSR's current news contains 2026 activity for other courses, but that is not evidence that Haryana MBBS 2026 registration has opened. This page therefore separates a confirmed 2026 status from historical workflow.
NMC's undergraduate matrix dated 14 July 2026 is available and should be used to verify regulatory intake. It does not replace Haryana's counselling matrix. MCC separately publishes the 15% All India Quota and deemed-university rows under its jurisdiction.

One institution can have multiple quota rows with different eligibility and price. Always match the college code, quota, category, course and round. Haryana registration does not substitute for MCC registration, and MCC registration does not enter a candidate in the state process.
Haryana state eligibility: wait for the 2026 notification
State-quota eligibility normally depends on Haryana residence and the specific category rules published by the state. The 2025 notification used Haryana state-merit provisions and documentary requirements, but the 2026 notification will be the controlling document. Do not rely on a coaching-site summary of domicile, schooling or parental service.
NEET eligibility is separate. Candidates must satisfy the 2026 age, nationality and qualifying-examination requirements, including the prescribed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English conditions. Qualifying NEET makes a candidate eligible to be considered; it does not establish Haryana domicile, reservation or admission.
Before registration opens, gather the candidate's Haryana residence certificate and the records that support schooling, category or any exception. When the notice appears, compare the issuing authority, format and validity date line by line. A certificate used for another state or central quota may not satisfy Haryana's form.
Reservation and certificate validity
Haryana counselling can include SC, Deprived Scheduled Caste, BCA, BCB, EWS, PwBD, ESM/FF and other notified categories. The exact reservation roster and conversion rules must come from the 2026 notification and seat matrix.
The 2025 portal specifically warned BCA/BCB candidates about a creamy/non-creamy-layer certificate under the Haryana notification and EWS candidates about the state's income-and-asset certificate, with session-specific issue-date conditions. That is useful evidence of why freshness matters, not a confirmed 2026 cut-off date. Candidates should obtain the 2026-valid certificate after reading the new portal notice.
PwBD candidates should follow the designated disability-certification centre and MCC/NMC rules identified for the current cycle. Sports, defence, freedom-fighter or other priority claims need the prescribed competent-authority evidence. A claim selected online remains provisional until documents are physically verified.
Haryana MBBS counselling process
The following sequence reflects the official portal's established workflow. Dates, security amounts, eligibility and exit rules must be replaced by the 2026 notice once published.
- Qualify NEET UG 2026: save scorecard, admit card, application and AIR.
- Open only the session-specific portal: confirm that the header and notices say 2026-27 before paying.
- Read government notification: check eligible institutions, quotas, residence, reservation, fees and bonds.
- Register accurately: use the candidate's own mobile/email and match NEET identity data.
- Upload category evidence: residence, SC/DSC, BCA/BCB, EWS, PwBD, ESM/FF, minority or NRI as applicable.
- Pay registration/security: retain the gateway status and bank proof.
- Check merit and deficiency notices: use the official correction or grievance channel.
- Fill choices: match each college, course, quota and category to the live matrix.
- Review provisional allocation: raise an allocation grievance only within the stated window.
- Pay tuition as directed: follow the portal's payment workflow, not a broker.
- Attend physical verification: bring originals to the allocated verification centre.
- Download final allotment/report: complete joining before the deadline.
Earlier Haryana rounds used provisional merit-cum-allotment, online grievance, tuition payment and physical document verification before final eligibility. Candidates who skip verification or fail to establish eligibility can lose a provisional seat.
Choice filling and round strategy
Fill only options you would actually join at the applicable cost. Order them by true preference rather than perceived probability. The allocation engine uses rank, eligible category, available seats and choice order; moving a less-desired college upward does not create extra merit.
Before every later round, download the revised vacant-seat matrix and read registration, willingness, security, upgradation, resignation and forfeiture clauses. Haryana's 2025 archive shows repeated revised matrices, corrigenda, withdrawals and special verification opportunities. That history demonstrates why a saved screenshot from the first notice is insufficient.
A provisional allocation can change after grievances, document verification or a revised result. Do not leave another seat, relocate or pay an institution merely on a provisional list unless the official instructions explicitly require that action.
Haryana medical colleges: verify three layers
Haryana includes government institutions, government-aided institutions, private colleges, private universities and a minority private university. A brand or location does not determine its counselling route or fee.
- NMC layer: confirm the exact institution name, management, university, current MBBS intake and permission/recognition status in the 2026-27 matrix.
- Counselling layer: confirm that the institution and exact quota row appear in Haryana's 2026 round matrix or MCC matrix.
- Institution layer: verify reporting, tuition, hostel, bond, refund and hospital disclosure from an official domain.
The 2025 state notification covered government, government-aided and private medical/dental institutions, including named private universities. Do not assume the identical list or seat distribution for 2026 until DMER publishes it. A new college announcement is not selectable admission evidence without NMC approval and counselling inclusion.
Clinical-training audit
- Compare annual intake with teaching units and bedside group size.
- Use dated OPD, IPD, occupancy, emergency, surgery and delivery data.
- Check internship rotations, stipend disclosure and patient mix.
- Verify the attached teaching hospital rather than a distant group hospital.
- Visit on a normal working day where practical.
Haryana MBBS cutoff 2026
There is no single Haryana MBBS cutoff mark. The valid cutoff is the closing rank in an official final/revised allotment for one college, quota, category and round. Government state quota, private state quota, management, minority, NRI, AIQ and deemed rows are not interchangeable.
Marks-to-rank changes each NEET year. Use 2026 AIR and the state merit position shown by the authority. A previous-year mark is not a safe predictor. Historical ranks may inform a range only when college, quota, category and round are identical.
Practical rank bands
- Aspirational: rank is weaker than several matching official closings.
- Competitive: rank lies around matching results across rounds.
- Relatively safer: rank is stronger than matching evidence, never guaranteed.
Rebuild the list after every revised matrix and allotment. Later stray rounds can be volatile because only residual vacancies and eligible candidates remain.
Haryana MBBS fees, bonds and security
No Haryana 2026 MBBS fee is labelled confirmed on this page until the state publishes its 2026 notification. Government, aided, private state-quota, management, minority, NRI and deemed seats can have sharply different liabilities. Old fee tables should be used only as historical budgeting inputs.

Haryana government medical education has historically involved substantial bond/fee provisions, which have changed through policy and court/administrative developments. Never quote an old bond amount or structure as 2026 fact. Read the complete bond that the allotted institution asks you to sign.
Calculate total cash flow across the whole course and internship. Pay only through the beneficiary and method named on the official counselling or institution notice. Keep itemised receipts and never send money to a personal account for “seat confirmation.”
Private, minority, deemed and NRI seats
A management or NRI seat is not a direct-admission loophole. NEET qualification, authority registration, eligibility verification, merit and official allotment remain required. The Haryana portal warns that admissions made independently by private institutions under its scope are null and void.
Private universities may be included in the Haryana state process, while an institution with deemed-university status generally follows MCC's deemed route. Match the institution's legal status and the live matrix rather than its marketing name.
For minority or NRI claims, verify the exact institution, priority, relationship and document format. Prepare sponsor passport/visa/residence/employment, relationship and support evidence only as the 2026 notice demands. Reject offers involving fabricated proof or unofficial cash.

Registration and payment safety
Use the candidate's own unique email and mobile. The earlier official portal warned against sharing mobile, email, registration number or password and stated that incorrect particulars could lead to cancellation. The same precautions remain sensible for 2026.
Confirm the browser address and session year before entering credentials. Save payment transaction ID and bank statement. If a transaction fails, use the portal's official notice/helpdesk rather than making repeated blind payments or contacting an unofficial number found in an advertisement.

- Registering on a page still labelled 2025-26 and assuming it is the 2026 form.
- Treating an old government notification as the current fee/bond rule.
- Registering only with MCC for a Haryana state/private seat.
- Using residence alone without the prescribed certificate.

When registration opens, complete the form personally, save every acknowledgement and build choices from the live matrix plus official fee/bond evidence. Register separately with MCC for AIQ or deemed seats. After allocation, follow the newest verification and reporting notice only.
