Datta Meghe Medical College Nagpur: verified identity
Datta Meghe Medical College (DMMC) is located at Wanadongri, Hingna Road, Nagpur 441110, Maharashtra. It is the Nagpur off-campus constituent medical college of Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER), a deemed-to-be university.
Do not confuse DMMC Nagpur with Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College at Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha. Both belong to DMIHER but are separate medical colleges with separate MCC codes, locations, hospital evidence and matrix rows. Select the full Wanadongri/Nagpur name.
Because DMMC is a deemed-university constituent, the MBBS allotment route is MCC deemed counselling. Maharashtra state counselling does not allot its ordinary deemed paid seats.

NMC conditional renewal of 250 seats
The official NMC Letter of Renewal numbered U-15029/09/2026-UGMEB, dated 27 June 2026, grants conditional renewal for 250 MBBS seats at Datta Meghe Medical College for academic year 2026-27. This is stronger evidence than carrying forward the 150-seat 2025 MCC matrix cited by the earlier thin page.
The renewal is explicitly conditional. NMC says it is subject to later physical, virtual or hybrid assessment by MARB and directs the institution to clear existing infrastructure, faculty and clinical deficiencies within 45 days. If deficiencies remain, MARB may act under the NMC Act.
Candidates should not interpret “250 renewed” as “250 seats available in every MCC round.” The regulatory intake, MCC distribution and round vacancy are different figures.
| Evidence | What it confirms | Decision use |
|---|---|---|
| NMC renewal dated 27 June | Conditional 250-seat renewal for 2026-27 | Check status/conditions before joining |
| MCC 2026 deemed matrix | Selectable quota rows and seat count | Use exact live round |
| DMMC admission page | Fee, forms and reporting | Use dated 2026-27 PDF |
| MCC result | Closing AIR/allotment | Use final/revised round result |
Eligibility and quota
Candidates must satisfy NEET UG 2026 eligibility: applicable age, nationality/OCI provisions and qualifying-examination requirements in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English. Allotment remains provisional until MCC and the college accept the original documents.
Ordinary deemed paid seats are generally open to eligible candidates across India; Maharashtra domicile is not the merit basis for that row. An NRI row, if present in the live MCC matrix, has separate candidate/sponsor, relationship and overseas-document requirements.
PwBD candidates must meet current medical eligibility and use the designated certification route. Foreign-board applicants may require equivalence evidence. Read the exact 2026 MCC bulletin instead of relying on a prior-year checklist.
DMMC Nagpur MBBS fees and 7.5% escalation
The official DMIHER fee notification for 2025-26, dated 14 July 2025 and based on University Notification No. 55 of 2025, listed the DMMC MBBS tuition schedule plus annual co-curricular and one-time enrolment/eligibility charges. The official table showed historical base tuition of Rs 22,00,000, co-curricular fee of Rs 1,25,000 annually and one-time enrolment/eligibility fee of Rs 1,50,000.
Crucially, the notification states that the listed UG fees increase by 7.5% every year until course completion and exclude university examination fees. Therefore the first-year number is not the annual amount for every later year. The 2026-27 admission page now references a new fee PDF; that current PDF should replace any calculation based on the historical schedule.
| Historical 2025-26 item | Published amount/rule | 2026 check |
|---|---|---|
| Base tuition | Rs 22 lakh annually in starting schedule | Use 2026-27 notification |
| Co-curricular fee | Rs 1.25 lakh annually | Confirm escalation/applicability |
| Enrolment & eligibility | Rs 1.50 lakh once | Confirm current one-time amount |
| Annual increase | 7.5% until course completion | Model every payable year |
| Examination fee | Excluded | Add current university charge |
| Hostel/mess | Separate official PDF | Check room type, deposit and annual rise |
At historical 2025 figures, year-one academic outlay was Rs 24.75 lakh before examination, hostel, mess and other charges. Do not quote this as the confirmed 2026 first-year bill. Obtain the 2026 signed itemised demand.
Full-course budget test
A 7.5% annual escalation compounds. Families should model tuition and recurring co-curricular fees year by year for the full payment period rather than multiplying year-one cost by 4.5. Add hostel, mess, security, university examination, instruments, insurance, transport and personal expenses.
Ask whether tuition is charged for four-and-a-half academic years, five instalments or any internship period; the current notification and undertaking must answer this. Also ask whether hostel is compulsory and how unused-term refunds work.
Before using an education loan, stress-test interest during the moratorium and EMI after internship. A small difference in annual escalation can add several lakhs to total liability.
Refund, discontinuation and payment safety
MCC security-deposit rules and DMIHER's institutional refund/discontinuation terms are separate. Read both before locking the choice. Ask for written consequences of non-reporting, upgradation, resignation after joining and leaving the course later.
The college publishes bank details on its official procedure page, but bank accounts can change. Verify the current 2026 beneficiary and account from the dated PDF and official nodal contact. Do not transfer to a personal account or pay a donation.
Preserve MCC allotment, bank UTR, itemised receipt and an acknowledgement for each original document submitted. Do not hand over originals before an official allotment.
Datta Meghe Nagpur cutoff 2026
The valid cutoff is the closing NEET All India Rank in MCC's final/revised result for the exact DMMC Wanadongri row and round. A 2026 cutoff cannot exist before the round result.
Marks-to-rank changes every year, so compare AIR rather than raw marks. Do not mix DMMC Nagpur with JNMC Wardha, and do not mix deemed paid with NRI quota.
- Aspirational: rank is weaker than several matching official closings.
- Competitive: rank lies around comparable DMMC results.
- Relatively safer: rank is stronger than matching evidence, never guaranteed.
Later rounds can move because of high fees, vacancies and forfeiture rules. A stray-round outlier is not a reliable target.
Clinical exposure and the NMC deficiency condition
NMC's 2026 renewal specifically refers to existing infrastructure, faculty and clinical deficiencies. The letter does not itemise them on the page reviewed, so this guide does not invent their nature. Candidates should ask the college for the assessment/deficiency response and any later MARB outcome.
DMMC publishes mandatory disclosures including unit-wise bed distribution, faculty attendance and monthly stipend details through June 2026. These are useful starting points. They should be combined with current OPD, IPD, bed occupancy, emergency, surgery, delivery, ICU and diagnostic data.
What to verify on a campus visit
- Active beds and occupancy by major department, not only sanctioned beds.
- Average students per bedside teaching unit after the 250-seat renewal.
- Emergency, labour-room, operation-theatre and ICU volumes.
- Which attached hospital provides core MBBS and internship rotations.
- Faculty/resident presence on an ordinary weekday.
- Whether deficiencies cited by NMC have been rectified and documented.
A major intake increase can affect cadaver, classroom, hostel and bedside ratios. Ask how capacity expanded with seats.
Hostel, campus and location
The official site says DMMC has three hostels for students and interns, with common rooms, reading room, hot water, Wi-Fi, laundry, dining space and security. Verify current room capacity and whether accommodation keeps pace with 250 students per MBBS batch.
Wanadongri on Hingna Road is the Nagpur off-campus location. Check travel time to the teaching hospital, public transport, clinical postings and airport/railway access. Obtain the 2026 hostel fee PDF and inspect room occupancy, electricity, laundry, mess and caution-deposit terms.
DMMC MBBS reporting documents
- MCC 2026 registration/payment and allotment letter.
- NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard.
- Class 10 certificate and Class 12 marksheet/passing certificate.
- Government ID, nationality/OCI proof and photographs.
- Transfer, migration, conduct and gap certificates.
- PwBD or NRI documents for the allotted row.
- DMMC 2026 admission form and affidavits.
- Medical-fitness certificate in the college format.
- Anti-ragging undertakings and hostel forms.
- Fee transfer/DD proof and MCC security receipt.
- Original-document acknowledgement.
The current 2026 procedure page is the final checklist. If an original is temporarily unavailable, use the college's published non-submission undertaking only when expressly permitted; it is not an automatic waiver.
Post-allotment workflow
- Match DMMC Wanadongri, MCC code, quota and round.
- Recheck the NMC conditional-renewal status and later updates.
- Download the current 2026 fee, hostel, form and document PDFs.
- Verify bank details through the official nodal contact.
- Carry originals and required copies; report before the MCC deadline.
- Obtain itemised receipts and document acknowledgement.
- Read upgradation/resignation consequences before the next round.
Common mistakes
- Confusing DMMC Nagpur with JNMC Wardha.
- Calling 250 NMC-renewed seats the number available in every MCC round.
- Ignoring that the renewal is conditional.
- Applying through Maharashtra state counselling instead of MCC deemed counselling.
- Treating year-one fee as flat for the whole course despite 7.5% escalation.
- Forgetting examination, hostel and mess charges.
- Comparing marks instead of exact MCC closing AIR.
- Using cached fee or bank details.
- Paying before official MCC allotment.
- Not asking how facilities scaled for the intake increase.

Verify the 27 June renewal letter, live MCC seat row, current fee and full escalated budget. Review the later MARB status and ask for data showing that faculty, infrastructure and clinical capacity match the 250-seat intake.
